The most romantic play of all the comedies by Shakespeare. This magical extravaganza is filled with fantastical creatures, the reality appears in the play in such an unusual way that it creates a feeling of dreams for spectators.

“Before you can prepare such a dream, precisely this dream and no other, you have to show the forest. Athens not Arden. A forest that is strange and hostile to the protagonists, certainly not idyllic. But more important than the forest is always Shakespeare’s Athens. What kind of city is it, what kind of state? Who rules there and how? What are the lovers running away from? Why is the forest less terrifying than the city? […] This Romanian Dream… in St Petersburg … is strange and uncommon. Sometimes forceful and political, at other times manifestly aesthetic. This is Shakespeare with an excellently read dark psychology, but at the same time deliberately light, based on the vis comica of the actors, and without avoiding traditional devices.”—Łukasz Drewniak, teatralny.pl
